Jerry came to Lakeview in November of 2009 after retiring from 45 years of ministry.  His last pastorate was New Banklick Baptist Church in Walton, KY where he server for over seven years.  His ministry responsibility at Lakeview is serving as Intentional Interim to help Lakeview look to the future and prepare for the next Senior Pastor.
 
Jerry is married to Joy and they have two children and three grandchildren.  Their daughter Tammy and her family live in Newton, NC and his son Greg and his family live in Charlotte, NC. 
 
 
 
Mark Smith

 

Mark joined the ministerial staff in 2005. He also came to the ministry from the furniture industry. Mark's focus is working with the Youth.  Youth from various schools across Catawba County attend the weekly Youth Rock service on Wednesday nights, as well as the Sunday evening Bible study.

Mark received his degree from North Carolina State University and his doctorate degree from Liberty University.

Mark is married to Sherri and they have 2 children Abby and Adam.

 

Ron Freeman

Ron Freeman joined the ministerial staff in 2003, before coming to Lakeview he was serving in ministry in the piedmont area of North Carolina. Ron serves as Lakeview's Minister of Music.

Ron attended Wingate University for his undergraduate degree and he holds graduate degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Integrity Worship Institute.

Ron is married to Pat and they have one son, Eric that is also serving in ministry within North Carolina.

 

Lisa Walker

Lisa joined Lakeview in January of 2009.  She came to us from Woodlawn Baptist Church in Conover with previous experience in public education as well.  Her main focus is the children of Lakeview.

Lisa received her Bachelors of Music Education degree from Appalachian State University.   She is one of twenty individuals across the United States that has been accepted into the Infuse Mentoring Program with nationally recognized children's ministry leader, Jim Wideman.

Lisa is married to Gene, together they have 3 children, Jacob, Joshua and Sarah.
